Blogger Spotlight; Dustin Luther

I met Dustin Luther about two and a half years ago when he emailed me concerning his new blog, Rain City Guide. He was trying to find an affordable way to market his wife’s real estate business, while I was trying to get lenderama up and running. Dustin was not the first RE blogger, but many of his ideas laid a blueprint for other top bloggers like Gregg Swann, Dan Green, myself, and many others.

As you probably noticed, Dustin and I decided to to a little blogsperiment. I’ve been interviewing bloggers from across RE.net for about six months now. Instead of emailing a list of questions, and the waiting for him to email them back, we decided to do it live on our blogs.

Dustin has a new blog. 4realz.net. As soon as I saw 4realz, I new it would be the perfect place to try a public blogging interview. Blog Fiesta is my social networking blog. I see 4realz as Dustin’s interpretation of the same medium. Both are focused more on having a discussion with RE.net than attracting long tail marketing opportunities. More on this subject to come.

I’m going to re-list all of the questions into one post for the sake of the archives. You’ll have to visit’s Dustin’s new blog to read what he has to say.

So Dustin, how did you first get into blogging?

What’s up with Rain City Guide? ;) It seems to have taken on a life of it’s own. How much do you still involve yourself in the day to day goings-on?

Dustin, I really like what you’re your doing on 4realz. It’s little bit like twitter on steroids. From your perspective, what’s the difference?

Here’s your chance to endear yourself to half of RE.net, and shun the other! Or better yet, what are some out of-the-box, non-real estate blogs that you like to read?
